Susan Cain’s talk @Google

In shared on Aug 30, 2013 by theoryl Tagged: , ,

I really liked Susan Cain’s talk at TED, so I was happy to find that she had another talk on Youtube, this time to a mostly introverted Google audience.

One thing that she talked about that I find it very relevant is the difference in risk taking profiles between introverts and extroverts. Introverts do not only expend energy in a social setting, but also in any environment perceived as risky. It also happens when working alone.

I also like her accent/voice. There’s something to it that really makes me want to listen, quietly.

p/s: Apparently she had had a huge anxiety before she gave the TED talk: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/books/review/how-the-author-of-quiet-delivered-a-rousing-speech.html . I wonder if the talk at Google happened before or after the TED talk.
